This is a beautiful example of a Cardinia Sp fossil bivalve which has been beautifully prepared revealing the famous white calcite . The specimen was collected from the Frodingham ironstone formation, Conesby Quarry, Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, England and is approximately 200 millions years old. Lower Lias, Lower Jurassic.
