Carboniferous Coral and Crinoid Polished, Mappleton, Holderness Coast, East Yorkshire, England

This absolutely stunning Carboniferous coral started its life at the bottom of the ocean floor and well after fossilisation a huge glacial ice sheet moved it all the way to the Holderness coast. A truly amazing journey for this 300 million year old fossil ! 

Specimen size is roughly 115 mm x 95 mm and polished to a high finish.
